Liverpool Calling

I found myself in a dirty, sooty city.
It was night, and winter, and dark, and raining.
In Liverpool, with a number of Swiss walking through the streets take about half of this.
There we was coming up from the docks to the city up above, on the hill on the rocks
We climbed up there through the Alley of the Dead, up to the square where the many streets led.
In the centre of town there was this pool, and in the middle of the pool was an island of cool.
All around us there was obscured by rain, but the island shone a light straight into the brain
The tree of all life stood there in the light and we could see everything was alright.
It was the source of the light, and all that was light, is right.
We know very well why we’re here. No fear
